Can God ever delay time? Can God delay the Judgments and Punishments and Great Tribulation and Wrath? Can a true prophet EVER give a date that does not come to pass at the given time frame? You probably think the answer to all of this is NO. But the answer to all of it is YES! I will show you from the Holy Bible.

However, I am NOT yet saying that God is delaying the start of the Great Tribulation but it is looking that way to some extent and is possible. Many people are fasting and praying! God does answer prayers and fasting! However, after many true prophets are incorrectly labeled "false prophets" and the people go back to their wicked ways, The Judgment will return!

Did any true prophet in the Holy Bible EVER at any time tell anyone a date and the date not come to pass on that date? YES!!!

Jonah 3:1 And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
:3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
(Here Jonah gives the date and location!!!)
:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
:6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
:8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
:9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

God did not lie but He did change his mind! The prophet was true that God told him something would happen in 40 days to that town! But because the people fasted, God had mercy on the people and did not yet destroy the town in 40 days. But years later, the people returned to their wicked ways and the town WAS OVERTHROWN! This is a REAL account of God delaying time and a true prophet giving a date to a prophecy but yet that date was changed by GOD!

God is merciful!!! We need to remember that if we maintain our prayer lives and continue to fast often and live clean for the Lord and keep His Commandments and Statues, Then we will continue to live in Peace. However, If and when the people return to wicked ways, The Judgment WILL COME!!!

Other times God repented (changed his mind):
1 Chron. 21:15 And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Amos 7:6 The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.

God even had control of time in response to the call of Man in the following passage:
Joshua 10:12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Again, God changed time for man's sake in the following verse:
2 Kings 20:11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

My warning to you: REMAIN Faithful Always, EVERY day of your life! Don't go back to your old ways! For Judgment WILL STILL come to pass! Gods Mercy and Grace to delay is NO reason or excuse to return to wicked ways!

Luke 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Ezekiel 33:33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
