Why God is NOT a Trinity
First of all, let me say that I do believe in the Holy Ghost, i am NOT denying the Holy Ghost!, however GOD is not a Trinity and the Holy Ghost is NOT a 3rd person. Don't jump to conclusions. Please read this entire article before deciding that I am right or that I am wrong. Get your Bibles out. Don't believe me. Believe the Bible. i am NOT saying that anyone is lost just because of how they believe on this issue. i am just teaching the truth without condemning anyone. We all must grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the LORD. Don't JUST read this article but also FAST AND PRAY!
If the Holy Ghost is a 3rd person, in a Trinity, What is his name?
The Fathers names include: Yahweh, Yehovah, Jehovah, YHWH and many titles.
The Sons names include: Jesus, Yeshua, Emmanuel and many titles.
What's the Holy Ghost' name? You may say this manifestation has titles/descriptions such as comforter but He has NO name!
If the Holy Ghost is a member of the God Family (Elohim) and is a 3rd person, What position does he hold in this family unit?
Father, Son, __________?
..............brother?
..............Grandfather?
..............Uncle?
You see in the Hebrew Old Testament, the word "God" was "Elohim" which is plural but does not specify how many. In the Greek New Testament, the word "God" was "Theos" which means the Supreme deity and still does not specify a Trinity.
Why did the Apostle Paul leave out the Holy Ghost when refering to the Father AND Christ Jesus? Notice:
Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
He mentions the Father AND He mentions Jesus Christ! But He DOES NOT mention the Holy Ghost? WHY? Because it's NOT a third! Notice Again:
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 6:23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
Philippians 1:2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Why is it that every time Ezekiel and John see the Throne of GOD, they NEVER mention seeing The Holy Ghost? OR a third throne? Where is the Holy Ghost seated? Beside Jesus?
You may bring up 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
However, according to the Scofield Commentary and MANY other Experienced Well Qualified Sources, "It is generally agreed that (1Jo_5:7) has no real authority, and has been inserted."
It is Documented FACT that the original Greek writings did NOT say what it says today in the King James!!!
This scripture was added into the bible by men who held the trinity doctrine and wanted to influence peoples thinking in that direction. The orginal writings said: " 6. This is he that came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness because the Spirit is truth. 7. For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one. 9. If we receive the witness of man, the witness of God is greater," (numbers added)
You might say that God would never allow anyone to remove or add to the bible, that the bible is 100% correct with no errors. However the bible says differently! Notice:
Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
In other words, God gave a curse against anyone who would add to or remove from the bible. If God would not allow man to do so, then why would He warn of this? It's clear that He knew men would do so.
John 14:16 "ANOTHER COMFORTER": Does NOT mean ANOTHER GOD! There is Only One GOD! NOR does it mean another person. But the word "GOD" is singular plural, meaning one enity with more than one member. There is only one GOD but Jesus and the Father are both GOD, both are parts of GOD. NOT Jesus Only! The Father and Jesus are One in that they are both part of that one GOD. He did not send a third god. He sent another manifestation of himself, that is that He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within man, thus the Holy Ghost inhabiting the vessel of man.
John 14:
:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter (another manifestation of comfort, see verse 21, NOT another person), that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth (Who is the Spirit of Truth? Notice verse 6! Jesus said "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH!) whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (Who will come? Who is the Comforter? I WILL COME TO YOU!)
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. (Why did Jesus NOT say "the Father in you, i in you and the Holy Spirit in you"? There are only 3 people in this verse, the Father, Jesus and YOU!)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of MY FATHER AND I will love him, and will MANIFEST MYSELF to him. (how? by HIS Spirit) (how many people are in this verse? The Father and Jesus!)
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt MANIFEST THYSELF unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The Holy Ghost could not be sent until the Son, Jesus, returned to the Father in Heaven. In other words, the Holy Ghost could not be sent until after Jesus died, resurrected and ascended back into Heaven so that He could return as His very own Ghost within the hearts and souls of humans. Jesus Living inside of us is called the Holy Ghost. He has always been the Word of God. In the beginning there was the Word and the Word was God and came to dwell among men. The Holy Ghost/the Living Word teaches us and reminds us of what HE/Jesus said! Jesus and the Holy Ghost are one and the same person! The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of GOD when it is outside of us and it's translated as the Holy Ghost when He is dealing with mankind. In Acts, they spoke with other tongues (in the Holy Ghost) as His Spirit gave utterance. In Greek, the words "spirit" and "ghost" is the SAME word but the English translators translated it as "Holy Ghost" when the Holy Spirit is working in the vessels of mankind to show the Power of GOD abiding in man. To understand more about about this, please see my What is the Holy Ghost article.
What about Matt. 28:19 ?
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Notice what this verse does NOT say: "baptizing them in the nameS". We are NOT to baptize in 3 names! There is ONE GOD, with ONE Name/Authority. He has MANY names/pronunciations. The One GOD has members of both the Father and the Son. He has a Holy Spirit. His Spirit is Holy. His Spirit isn't a third member/personage. But this isn't talking about pronunciations. It's telling us to baptize in His Authority. Every time in the Bible that the disciples baptized, the only pronunciation that they did use was "Jesus", they NEVER said "i baptize you in the Names of the Father and of Jesus and of the Holy Ghost". Search the scriptures and see!
Accusation: 3 people at Jesus baptism:
Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Answer: The Spirit OF GOD is the Spirit of GOD. It's not a 3rd person. There is NO WAY that this scripture can be used to prove a trinity. i am not saying there is not a Holy Spirit. He clearly does exist! But He is NOT a Third person, He is Jesus and the Father.
Please i do beseech you to pray and fast concerning this subject. We can't go just by our research. To understand these things, we need to draw near to GOD and hear from Him and allow Him to Open our eyes.
