How Many Will Be Saved? Very Few Or Many?

Most people believe (have been taught) that only a few people will ever be saved. This is based mostly only on 2 scripture passages. Let's examine these scriptures.

Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Picture in your mind a very narrow gate. It is true that only 1-2 people can enter through the gate at a time. But the number of people who can eventually enter that gate is actually without limit. After the first person, another can enter, then another and then another. As many people can enter a narrow gateway as can enter a wide gateway, but slower. Each person must take their turn.
The bible tells us that every human that ever lived will be resurrected, but each in his own order.

John 5:28-29 (NASB) "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment". (These are 2 separate resurrections)

1 Cor. 15:23 (NASB) "But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming"

Did you read the above scriptures in your personal paperback/hardback bible today or just only on this website?
If only online, I encourage you to please open your bible and read these verses both on our website and in your bible. There is power in reading the real bible. Also, did you pray before beginning to read about this specific subject today? If not, I encourage you to take the time now to pray for understanding of truth.

We can also study the book of Revelation chapter 20 and Isaiah 65:17-20 to determine that there are 2 Resurrections.

Some people will be resurrected to everlasting life at the first resurrection. But the larger number of people will have to stay asleep in their graves until the 2nd resurrection (Rev.20:5). When the huge crowds of people awaken in the 2nd Resurrection, they will have a final 100 years (Isa.65:17-20 Rev.20:3) to make their choice between Jesus and the devil. The devil will be loosed out of the bottomless pit for 100 years to deceive the people again (Rev.20:3,7,8). I understand that this sounds totally wrong/false/strange because most people have never heard this before. These bible verses are never read in the churches of man's denominations. But I encourage you to at least examine in fasting and prayer all of the evidence that I present in this article and in the related article.

At the end of the short season of 100 years, everyone who rose in the 2nd resurrection will have to stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ at the Great White Throne Judgment. That's why the scripture says that some will rise to Judgment. It is very vital to understand that there are 2 harvest seasons. At that Great White Throne Judgment, there will be some people on the right side who will be awarded eternal life. These are people who got saved in that final 100 years which occurs after the millennium reign of Christ on Earth after He returns.

Going back to Matt.7:14 "few that find it" is referring to how many people find the truth at a time, only 1-2 people at a time. Elijah felt like he was the only one. Many people today feel the same way. Many of us feel as if perhaps we might be the only people on Earth truly serving the Lord in the Truth. But the truth is that Jesus has preserved many other servants who shall be revealed in their time.

The other verse used to claim that only very few will ever be saved is:
Matthew 22:14 (KJV) "For many are called, but few are chosen".
But read the context of the parable! We must keep this verse in the written context of the Marriage Supper!
"Few" people in the context of all of human history are chosen to the Marriage Supper, to be caught up at the First Resurrection at the timing of the 7th (Last) Trumpet. (1 Cor.15:52, Rev.11, Rev.19) If we study the entire bible, we eventually come to understand that there is the spring harvest of the firstfruits and then later the second resurrection of the autumn harvest. Not everyone who will be saved will be present at the Marriage Supper, but rather only those who were ready by the time of the Marriage Supper. The rest will have to await the second resurrection. However, if we look at many other verses, listed below, there will actually be many Saints of God present at the Marriage Supper, but still yet few in the context of human history since most people will have to wait until the second resurrection to be truly saved and the Great White Throne Judgment to receive their reward.

Let's not base our doctrines and beliefs on just two verses. But let's examine all the scriptures and the sum of His Word. Psalms 119:160 Isaiah 28:13
If we look at the scriptures below, we will see that there are many verses which teach that there will eventually be many saved and present in the Paradise of the New Heavens and New Earth when it is all said and done. Praise The Almighty Creator in Jesus Name!

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(I believe that a time is coming when the Name of "Jesus" will be outlawed and only those who are willing to speak the Name of Jesus before men will be saved).

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 9:42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.

Acts 10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

Acts 12:12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

Acts 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Acts 14:21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

Acts 17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

Acts 18:8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

Acts 19:18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
:19 many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Acts 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:

Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another

1 Corinthians 10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

1 Corinthians 10:33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

1 Corinthians 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

According to Revelation 7, it will be a huge number of people washed in the Blood of The Lamb of God, Jesus!
