Acts 10:9-16 We are commanded to eat pork and other animals.
9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Romans 14:1-4 says vegetarians are weak in faith:
1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Did you read the above scriptures in your personal paperback/hardback bible today or just only on this website?
If only online, I encourage you to please open your bible and read these verses both on our website and in your bible. There is power in reading the real bible. Also, did you pray before beginning to read about this specific subject today? If not, I encourage you to take the time now to pray for understanding of truth.
Although Paul says to accept this person without judgment, Paul wasn't correct about all things. For example, he said that long hair on a man was a shame, yet Numbers 6 declares long hair on men to be a symbol of holiness. Paul also taught that Jesus would return in his lifetime. He was wrong. Paul was human, not God, and was capable of making mistakes.
The fact is, God commands us to eat animal meat and if we disobey, then we are in danger.
Colossians 2:16-23 says that we must not allow people to condemn us for eating meat, drinking alcohol and celebrating the Sabbath Feast days and New Moons. It also says that the legalism of self abasement (denying the flesh) is wrong:
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using; after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
We know that the Sabbaths are absolutely required and should never accept anyone's demonic judgment against us for obeying God! Therefore, in the same context, we should never allow anyone's condemning of us for eating meats or drinking alcohol as long as we do not go overboard into alcoholism or gluttony.
John the Baptizer ate locusts.
Noah was told that everything that moves shall be food for him.
Jacob killed the goats and presented the meat to the old man Isaac who loved meat.
Jacob also ate the bowl of meat soup that Esau had.
The Prodigal Son. The dad killed the calf for the celebration feast of food for his son's return (salvation):
Luke 15:27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
Passover lamb & all sacrifices.
In Old Testament times and until the day that Jesus was crucified, the killing and sacrifice of animals was a command.
Passover: All baptized members had to eat the Passover Lamb.
The Peace Offerings: The fat and entrails were burned and the remainder was eaten by the priests and if it was a free-will offering by the worshippers themselves.
Although those things are done away, the fact remains that God did not think of them as unhealthy.
God gave many laws for the reason of good health. Yet NEVER commanded us to not eat all meats. Even with the ceremonially unclean meats, it was temporary.
Many of the Men of God in the bible were shepherds who raised animals for meat.
AOB Jer. 32:15-17, 27-29 (Other translations Jer. 25:15-17, 27-29) Forced to drink cup of wrath:
15 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 Then took I the cup at the LORD'S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.
There was no death in the Paradise of Eden. But human sin brought death to both humans and animals.
Curses came upon animals, plants and humans.
From that moment forward, mankind needed to eat meat. This is part of the curse. And it is a commanded curse.
We can't escape any of that curse until new Paradise worldwide. Even if baptized.
Even as we can't escape physical death except only by staying alive until Jesus comes.
Even as there will always be plant thorns on the Earth until new Paradise.
All mankind is required to drink of this cup.
Animals fats are needed for energy and ability to think. Lack of animal fats can cause too much loss of weight, inability to focus, passing out, Alzheimer's Disease, poor memory, and eventually death.
They are skinny.
Vegetarians won't survive the Great Tribulation.
Concerns/excuses of vegetarians:
-Nitrates (I buy only meats that that do not contain nitrates. Therefore, although it's a reasonable concern, there's a way around it.)
-Farm animals sometimes fed antibiotics and GMO corn, wheat or other grains. (Although I surely believe in and encourage eating organic meats, the fact is that every day, millions of people eat animals that have eaten GMO grains. People are not dropping dead from it. If eaten in moderation, and with proper exercise, and other healthy lifestyle habits, eating meats that come from animals that have eaten GMO grains isn't a death sentence, nor a curse of sickness.)
-Bacteria, worms, parasites. But these are also found in vegetables, fruits and plants! Proper washing, refrigeration, freezing and cooking kills these.
"Feel better after stop eating all meat."
My reply: Well of course! That's because almost everyone doesn't eat enough fruits and vegetables. So once you start eating enough of those, then of course you are going to feel a lot better. It's not the lack of meat that is improving your health, but rather the increase in much needed fruits and vegetables which should be the majority of our diets.
But the fact is, long term deficiency of meat proteins and meat fats will absolutely harm your health. But even more serious, vegetarianism goes against God's will.
God told Peter to rise, kill and eat the animals including pork. He told Peter to not call them unclean. Yet that's exactly what vegetarians are doing!
False claim: Some vegetarians think that Daniel was a vegetarian because he ate only vegetables and water from King Nebuchadnezzar's servants. However the true context of those verses is that the Babylonian Assyrians sacrificed meats to demons (false gods), which is forbidden. That's why he didn't eat the meat in that specific situation. We know that because Daniel was obedient to God, he would have observed Passover including the eating of the Passover Lamb. Daniel absolutely was not a vegetarian.
Confirmation: After the sermon was finished, Jesus put into my mind about Cain and Abel. Cain was a farmer and offered only vegetables until God. But Abel offered an animal sacrifice which was more pleasing to God! This was absolutely The Holy Ghost of Jesus that put this into my mind! It is absolutely God talking to His Church, confirming the sermon.
Testimony: After the sermon, brother Jared testified that he had been a vegetarian most of his life, but after he fully embraced eating meats and started taking fish oil and gelatin (which is a product of meats) he felt better and his knees would no longer hurt after bike riding.
